Free Lightning McQueen die-cast car: 4pm-6pm at Macy's

We’ve spotted a kid‑friendly pop‑up at select Macy’s locations that hands out a Gold Lightning McQueen die‑cast car for free. The giveaway runs on Friday, October 16 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (local time). While you’re there, the store also hosts a LEGO giraffe‑building station the next day, but the star of the show is definitely the Lightning McQueen car.

What's Included in This Offer

You’ll walk away with a Gold‑colored Lightning McQueen die‑cast car. The miniature is a classic 1:64 scale replica, perfect for display on a shelf or for racing on a track. It’s a genuine Macy’s giveaway, so there’s no hidden cost or purchase required.

The event also features a LEGO giraffe build‑and‑take‑home activity on Saturday, October 17 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., plus a coloring station for extra fun. Those extras are only available on the second day, but they don’t affect the free car you receive on Friday.

Step 2: Fill in your name, email address, and the nearest participating Macy’s store where you plan to attend.

Why This Lightning McQueen is Worth Getting

Lightning McQueen is an icon from the “Cars” franchise, and a gold‑finished die‑cast version feels like a collector’s item even for a child. The high‑quality metal body and detailed paintwork make it stand out from the usual plastic toys on the shelf.

For young fans, the car doubles as a play‑time hero and a decorative piece for a bedroom or a desk. Parents love that it’s a no‑cost, brand‑approved toy that encourages imaginative play without adding to the grocery bill.

Because the giveaway is limited to a two‑hour window, snagging the car feels like scoring a rare prize at a theme‑park meet‑and‑greet. It’s a perfect souvenir to remember a family outing to Macy’s.
